Concord Massachuesetts Where history, literature and nature entwine.
Just 19 miles from Boston.
Located upon the same roadway that in 1775, the Minute Men trod to first engage the British Regulars the Hawthorne Inn provides an excellent base from which to explore the treasures of Concord’s many-layered past. The world has heard the voice of Concord resounding for three and one half centuries: from the indian village of Musketaquid to a Puritan frontier settlement, sleepy farming community to hotbed of the Revolutionary Movement, Boston backwater to the town that incubated Transcendentalism and nurtured the flowering of american literature. All of this is at our doorstep.
"Just returned from a wonderful overnight stay at the Hawthorne Inn. The location could not be better situated, just across from the Alcott House and down the street from the center. Toni and Mark were warm and gracious. Breakfast was amazing with a great variety of homemade treats. The inn itself is historic and lovely. Cannot recommend it highly enough."
"We had a wonderful stay at the Hawthorne Inn. Mark and Toni went out of their way to make our stay both pleasurable and productive. We have been to a number of bed and breakfast inns. Our experience in Concord was truly enjoyable and much of that is owed to the hospitality and helpfulness of our inn keepers.
Thank you again."

"We enjoyed 2 nights at Hawthorne Inn under the new owners who are spectacular hosts. Our room was comfortable with an excellent bed. The bathroom was spacious with amenities. The breakfast was ample and very tasty. The host was very helpful with suggesting restaurants and making reservations."
