New World Red Selection $44.95 (plus tax)

Boston Winery, Black Dog Cabernet Sauvignon. A full-bodied, well-balanced Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich flavors of ripe plum and wild cherry, with hints of new French oak and black tea tannin, melded with a round earthy finish. We paired this with a clothbound cheddar from Vermont and a full flavored Grayson from Virginia

French Burgundy Selection $59.95 (plus tax)

Domaine Parize Père et Fils, Givry 1er Cru Champ Nalot (2015). Soft and sensual Pinot Noir from the world’s home of Pinot. We pair this with an Epoisses, also from Burgundy, a regional pairing that hits a home run every time!

Spanish Red Selection $34.95 (plus tax)

Consejo de la Alta, Rialta Crianza (2013). A classic Crianza of Rioja; it is very soft and easy to drink. It is dark cherry-red color. Especially aromatic and powerful on the nose and palate; it provides fruit and wood in a perfect and harmonious assembly. Nothing beats Manchego to pair with Tempranillo, so we have a 1 year old Manchego, and a slice of Catalonian Urgelia

New World White Selection $44.95 (plus tax)

Monterey Wine Company, Poppy Chardonnay (2015). Youthful notes of lemon and honeysuckle are layered over ripe melon, nutmeg, and clove. The perception of sweetness is derived from fruit ripeness, aging on regularly stirred yeast lees in the presence of aged French Oak. We pair this with two cheeses from the Von Trapp Family Farm, a soft ripened Oma, and an alpine style Savage

Italian White Selection $39.95 (plus tax)

Tenuta La Falcona Bianco di Custoza DOCG. A golden yellow wine, Bianco di Custoza has an aromatic pear and apricot bouquet that is fruity, smooth and fresh with a light to medium body. (Garganega, Trebbiano, Pinot Bianco, Cortese and Friulano) We pair this with a piece of Crucolo from Trento, and Nobile, an aged pecorino from Sardinia

"Just returned from a wonderful overnight stay at the Hawthorne Inn. The location could not be better situated, just across from the Alcott House and down the street from the center. Toni and Mark were warm and gracious. Breakfast was amazing with a great variety of homemade treats. The inn itself is historic and lovely. Cannot recommend it highly enough."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Hawthorne Inn. Mark and Toni went out of their way to make our stay both pleasurable and productive. We have been to a number of bed and breakfast inns. Our experience in Concord was truly enjoyable and much of that is owed to the hospitality and helpfulness of our inn keepers.
Thank you again."

"I am a travel nanny and stopped here after a trip to Australia to visit a friend staying at the Inn while doing a summer intern... The bed was amazing and even with my picky pillow issue, had great pillows! Inn had recently been renovated and was beautifully done. I love how they kept the historic value and yet completely modernized. I am a fan of healthy light breakfast affair. Toni is a kitchen wonder! We had homemade bread, homemade granola and yogurt, fresh fruit plate and this terrific grain, apples and kale salad. So delicious!... I see a lot of different kinds of lodging and am a big fan of B&B if as nice as this one. There is such serenity here."
